GRINGOMMENTARY Feb09. See the latest from MilitaryCorruption.com on the astounding breaking news about Lisa Nowak, the most accomplished female astronaut in America (or the world.) As you probably know by now, she literally went crazy and attempted murder of a love rival, apparently experiencing an advanced case of SWS (Scorned Woman Syndrome). Nowak flipped her super-achieving gourd when her paramour's adultery with her compromised her adultery with him, due to his adultery with a blonde younger woman. It's all in the family---the post-Clinton NASA family.
Feb06 update. In a surprising move recently, MilitaryCorruption.com, while lashing out at Dems too, more or less adopts their call for admitting defeat in Iraq and getting out in "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH." This is not insignificant, as MCC, while attacking corruption and malfeasance in the military and having known combat in Vietnam, proudly flies the Stars & Stripes, setting it well apart from your typical peacenik, puffnik and cocktail mediacrities. MCC calls for a phased withdrawal from Iraq, seeing this as not the Democrat desire for "cut and run." While gringoVision can understand the lashing out against and frustration with Bush and his ex-SecDef Donald Rumsfeld (besides critiques over the years, we also, after all, posted here not long ago TWO FLY GUYS, a ruminating look at both Bush and Rumsfeld in context of historical war leadership) our Strategy Klatsch is not yet ready to echo MCC's call. Yes, gV has grave doubts about how effective the Bush "surge" in Baghdad can be,(we have, in fact, no great expectations for it, as the assassins obviously can slink away, fade and hunker down and wait out the feminized, poll-driven U.S.A., a nation now clearly a captive of its own lawyer-driven bread-and-circus, or pizza- and- DVD, democracy). Still, gV does not see "cut and run by increments" as either a wise or expedient response to the Muddle East. But wise choices here can happen only by accident, or amazing luck. With invaluable MSM assistance, the party hacks and drones of defeatism can smell success in the media-drenched air. They know that George Bush, the Great Non-Communicator, was an excellent jet pilot in the National Guard, but subsequently, as President, a politically correct warrior who will let the lawyers have at his military, while restraining them from dealing proper justice to enemy-abetting leaks or to a Sandy Burglar who steals state documents to cover Clintinoid ass in the War against the Islamic Fanatic. And like them, he aids and abets law-breaking and dis-respect of U.S. borders. They know how to play on George Bush. In other words, they understand that "compassionate conservative" Bush is no match for their own media-driven cliches and pieties. This is why, while gringoVision clucks at their well-orchestrated ground-swell of sanctimony (which also includes legitimate critiques of Iraq corruption, possibly as large and dismal as what occurred under the pious Democrats in Vietnam), it also concedes that weaselhood and starry-eyed wimps may in fact succeed. If Vietnam and The Killing Fields and the rise of the Mad Mullahs in the ashes of US defeat, withdrawal, retrenchment and humiliation did not teach a profound lesson thirty years ago, a study of history is perhaps useless, at least for Americans. A great nation that can't get mission accomplished, and waits for inevitable mistakes and then feeds on them, whines about "neo-cons" etc. etc who lead the Leader by the nose, and hopes, pathetically, that "dialogue" with the Islamic fanatic will stop creation of the Mullah Bomb in Iran (without a shred of evidence or hard logic on how) is what? It's only questionably "great,"and is unquestionably not the nation that in 1945, after universal sacrifice that is mocked or unknown in today's crass action lawyerdom, stood proud in victory over mighty despots and menace.
(Posted at other sites) Jan29 update:(While "on the road." From The Baroness Alexandra's radiant Allthingsbeautiful.....(Excerpt from comment by nofate.) The more apropos analogy is that Alexandra and others are modern day Churchills being consciously ignored by the PC indocrinated media and political class. We did not "create" the "beast" any more than England or America or whoever, created communism in the 19th century. As John Werntz pointed out in a previous post's comment, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, etc. "are quite simply the world's foremost practitioners of traditional Islam". And then the most succinct, yet all encompassing analysis of the goal of the Islamofascists, by gringoman:

Jan11. At MonicaMemo Monica looks at 2008 Presidential hopefuls, notes how top-heavy the Dems are with Senators (legislative) as opposed to executive experience. Still, she concedes that Al Gore, former Vice-President, has exec background. Gringoman responds to Monica: "I agree that Al Gore is a dark horse for Dem draft in 2008. After all, he hasn't become the Messiah of the Warmists, or the new South version of Preacher Man just to get the attention of a Lindy Lohan. That said, is Vice-President really an executive position, other than technically? Isn't it more like a homo sapien mandated to wear a chastity belt? He may talk, and even talk well, but what can he do?"
Jan10 MonicaMemo:With pleasure gringoVision welcomes to the booming blogosphere an old fave: Monica Crowley (ABC radio/MSNBC). prima facie evidence that brains can be blond......At the Baroness Alexandra's extraordinary fusion of art, terror news and a Judeo-Christian perspective, Allthingsbeautiful, GD, sort of the Resident DemLib, posted: "You get more weird all the time gringo... How about Dubya and his merry pranksters made a breathtakingly bad strategic choice, and then based on political ideology, executed so badly that it will be a central point of study at War Colleges for the next several decades." The gringoman reply: "The difference between Bush and the anti-Bush loudmouths: Bush is pc and inadequate; They're pc and insufferable. Your faith in Democrats and wiki (two examples of the unaccountable) seems pretty devout, GD. In fact, so much so that I''ll now turn the other cheek. But if you don't mind, I won't say which one."...... Thomas Barnett is a dynamic and high-level (even controversial) academic, speaker, visionary and author, upsetting Right and Left with his globalistic views on how to do good and neutralize the bad by means of The Market (lead protagonist) and The Military (strictly in supporting role.). Whether you agree with Barnett or not, this guy is a very active biped of informed energy, sparking thought and ideas that are reverberating in the generation ready to take power. Should USA today go to empire or retreat to foetal position? Barnett, who believes in a Third Way, is also doing a prolific weblog, Some recent comments addressed a post about Israel's looming demographics, with its racial and ethnic dilemnas. A gringo contribution in the comments took the focus back home: "Race in the USA today is an interesting topic, partly because frank and open discussion is generally verboten by the democracy's powerful thought police. Public figures---and in varying degrees most everyone else--- are required to sound mush-mouthed, banal, pious or just steer clear of the topic. Plain talk is immediately subject to charges of 'racism'. Everyone understands that the politically correct police are watching and listening. Penalties can be severe in this land of free speech. E.g. Whether you are for a predominantly white U.S. or whether you support the view that the U.S. may and should become the first country in history to peacefully surrender its identity with the race that created the modern world and Western civilization, you can't really have calmly reasoned public symposiums on it, welcoming a free and open exchange of views. The sense is that it's best just to let the steamroller roll. Much less risky too. The white liberal will cheer. The conservative may not cheer, but will breathe a sigh of relief, grateful to liberals in media, Hollywood and court rooms for the peace they are granting him, rewarding his silent acquiescence."
