You forgot the torture. We're (meaning the world minus the neo-con wingnuts) upset about that too.

Sounds to me that the hermit kingdom of bloggers, where all things are beautiful and an iraqi dentist is now a weapons expert, are awaiting the white knight on a shiney horse, a Franco or Musollini with a firm hand to restore the kingdom 'for the good (always the good) of Western Civilization'.

gringoman

Wedeen.

It seems to gringoVision that the marxie moonbats, cursing the Western civilization that protects their bourgeois butts from the barbarians they praise and even counsel, need to spend more time with the live Castros and Quadaffis and Mugabes and Kim Soong Mentallis Ills, while piously warning us about the dead Francos and Mussolinis.

I understand the oh-so original "OMG the emperor has no clothes cliché" (har har) but did it really have to be done with so much homo-eroticism?

gringoman

Shawn,

Blame it on the fathers of Western Civilization, the Greco-Romans They didn't have the benefit of post-Renaissance anti-Papist Protestantism, something I sometimes stray from.

Personally, I can't stand bush. I disagree with just about everything that stumbles out of his (roves?) mouth. He has failed in every business venture he tried, and he is majorly screwing up the US, our foriegn relations, raping the poor, hungry, elderly, disabled in order to enable his tax cuts and other benifits for the filthy rich. Congress sucks and both parties are corrupt and not much more than targets for lobbyists and corporations that want favors for their generous campaign contributions.
Nobody in office really cares about anybody in need of any kind of social programs. If you ain't rich, you don't matter. What can YOU bring to THEIR table?? That's how they think. It's not about policies, it's not about people, or making america better and stronger, or caring for the needy, it's about congress and admin officials votes, and staying in office or moving up the ladder.

I think it's very pathetic. I'm a registered voter, but i don't vote, becuase i don't see anybody worth voting for. And i don't want to vote for someone who's voting history looks good on the outside, but have been involved in very shady dealings in the backroom. Then i feel i helped that corrupt official get in office. I used to get involved and sometimes i still write to my elected officials, always asking for a PERSONEL, not automated reply. Did i ever get one? You bet i didn't.
They couldn't care less. It's all about them. What can you say about a congress that claims to care and do much for the needy or whatever kind of issue that needs to be addressed, that gives themselves a $30,000 a year raise? And as far as political corruption, it's so freakin' out of control we can't keep up with all the scandalls. It's just one thing after another. Republicans bastards, i hate them. They're big babies who stomp their feet and pound on the the table and have hissy fits when they don't get their way, and democrats are cowardly, two faced phonies that say one thing then flip fop all over the place, trying to stand for something. I gave up trying to help make a difference a while ago. Nobody listens. Nobody cares for the average joe in this country. It's falling apart, and bush, the great divider-dicider is soooo patheticly inept, it's unbelievable. And HE wants IMMIGRANTS to learn english! How 'bout we start with a prez that can? I could do a better job running this country. So could you!
As far as immigration goes, that's all about votes too.

I believe in the US being the melting pot, but i think we could help the situation better by helping Mexico improve their standard of living. Then they wouldn't need to come here (or anywhere else)to improve their lives, which i am all for. I think Mexico has a beautiful history of culture, like most darker skinned peoples. The darker, the deeper, and I'm a white boy. But the Assholes on the Hill have been shoving this issue under the rug for so long, it's finally come back to bite them in the ass. And i hope they chew it right the fuck off. I hope the dems win both houses back, impeach the entire bush administration and persecute them for war crimes, high crimes and misdomeanors, murder, illegal spying on americans, and otherwise shredding the constitution up like it's toilet paper. I hope they all rot in prison for the rest of their lives. Especially bush. I hope they stick him in a cell with big ole horney bubbu who makes bush his prison bitch.
So, that's my take on it all. And oh yea, Don't compare me to michael moore or any other (conspiricy theororist)...this is just my independant view of what has happend to america. Maybe we were never perfect, but we used to be a lot better in many ways, such as caring for our own needy, and helping other poor countries, sometimes we still do, but corruption has become so rampant that funding for any kind of helping programs get stolen, are reported missing, get misspent or get waylayed somehow. Hm.

Ya know what's going to happen? The world population is going to continue to grow, we will eventually deplete most or all of our natural or man-made resources, and conflicts will arise out of fighting for these resources, (it's already started), and we will see an apocolyptic world, just like in the movies. Everybody will be fighting for their own and their families survival, we'll be at each others throats and we just ain't gonna make it. Humans are violent and destructive by nature, as well as contructive, but that's part of the problem. We've constructed too much. (I have a deep respect for the true american natives, the indians.) And even though we have our better moments, we have become a virus, eating away at mother earth. And she's angry and hurting. The planet itself is a living creature, our home, we are earths children, and we have betrayed our mother. Now, becuase of the damge we have inflicted on her, we get earthquakes, global warming,(our fualt) melting glaciers, fires, mudslides, storms, hurricanes and what have you. And we're not NEARLY finished with her yet.

I figure the dinosuars were here a very, very long time. Our time on this planet will be a week..maybe a month in comparison.

I'd like to thank the follwing for their contributions and influence that has helped me to become who i am today.

If George Washington was the father of our Nation from the begining of its birth. George Bush is the Mother that's killing it by destroying our borders.
